Helping hand for Goldtrail customers from Thomson and First Choice
Following the collapse of tour operator Goldtrail last night, Thomson and First Choice shops are offering advice to those customers who are now without a holiday. Goldtrail customers who have booked a holiday but are yet to travel, will be able to claim a refund from the CAA and book an alternative holiday.
Dermot Blastland, Managing Director commented “Thomson and First Choice understand the importance of a holiday to our customers and how upsetting it will be to those who have been looking forward to their well earned break. We have been briefing our agents up and down the country to ensure they can offer advice on how to claim a refund and how to go about booking a new holiday. Goldtrail customers were booked on holidays to Greece and Turkey and while we can’t guarantee we will have something identical we do have availability to these destinations over the busy summer months.”
The collapse of Goldtrail comes on the busiest weekend of the holiday season for Thomson and First Choice with approximately 162,000 holidaymakers due to fly off on holiday with Thomson Airways today and tomorrow.
Customers who hold a booking with Goldtrail are advised to return to the travel agent with whom they booked. If they booked direct, we would advise them to visit any Thomson or First Choice shop where they will be able to get guidance and help with the CAA paperwork and help find a suitable holiday once they are in a position to re-book.
