TUI Travel PLC welcomes the announcement today by the Government detailing the final legislation which will bring ‘flight-plus’ holiday arrangements into the ATOL scheme.  As the largest contributor to the ATOL scheme, TUI Travel has a crucial interest in making the scheme as effective and as fair as possible for both consumers and businesses and this is a step in the right direction. Jeremy Ellis has been appointed as Marketing Director. Jeremy has been with TUI UK for twenty years during which time he has been instrumental in creating innovative above and below the line marketing campaigns which have established our differentiated products firmly in the minds of the British public. Garry Wilson currently Director of Purchasing is appointed Product and Purchasing Director. Thomson Airways today makes aviation history with its first flight for UK customers on sustainable biofuels

  • First UK airline to operate commercial flight on sustainable biofuels

  • Flight number TOM 7446 Birmingham to Arrecife, Lanzarote

Thomson Airways will today be the first UK airline to fly customers on sustainable biofuel when flight TOM 7446 takes off from Birmingham Airport to Arrecife.  Carrying 232 passengers on a Boeing 757-200 it is scheduled to depart on 06th October at 14:25 HRS for the four hour flight. Read more »

THOMSON SUPERSTORE OPENS THIS WEEK IN TEESSIDE

At a time when many retail shops are closing, Thomson is bucking the trend by opening a brand new Superstore on Friday 5th November within the Teesside Shopping Park in Stockton-on Tees. The latest figures from The Local Data Company suggest that the number of shops lying unoccupied in Stockton-on-Tees stands at around 19.5% – well above the national average of 13.9% for November. Thomson’s latest opening hopes to help reverse this trend. The new shop will join its network of 512 retail outlets in the UK and reiterates Thomson’s commitment to regional retail shops which allow our customers to gain expert travel advice in their local area.
