Thomson Airways is doing its upmost to operate a number of flights back to the UK this evening (Tuesday 20 April).  The airline expects approximately 1,400 customers to be on these flights which will arrive back in Newcastle airport from approximately 9pm this evening. Read more »


THOMSON AIRWAYS COMPLETES SIX SUCCESSFUL TEST FLIGHTS

Following the closure of UK and European airspace, Thomson Airways has today (20 April 2010) completed a number of successful test flights. The airline has flown six aircraft from Iceland, where they had previously been diverted due to the volcanic ash disruption, to the UK. Read more »

As reported on news bulletins, some parts of UK airspace could re-open tomorrow following several days of closure. Thomson Airways is planning to begin repatriation flights tomorrow and the scale of the repatriation operation wholly depends on those parts of Europe that are still currently in a no-fly zone becoming accessible. Thomson Airways donates to Pump Aid

Thomson Airways has donated a further £14,000 to Pump Aid taking the total donations by the airline to over £104,000 since this charity initiative was introduced in November 2007. In total, Thomson Airways has now sold over two million bottles of Thirsty Planet Water on its flights. Read more »
