David was appointed Managing Director for TUI UK and Ireland (TUI UK) in October 2011. Chris joined First Choice in 1999 to establish Travel Choice Direct, before becoming Managing Director of Retail & Direct – Travel Choice and then MD of First Choice Airways where she led the investment programme into TUI Travel’s long haul offering by signing a deal to be the UK’s fist customer for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Nick played an integral role during the successful merger of Thomson and First Choice in 2007 in his role of Integration Director, taking responsibility for the merger of the two companies including the generation and delivery of £125m of synergies. Read more »

TUI UK & Ireland has appointed a new HR Director, Martin Gash, who joined the UK & Ireland Mainstream Board at the start of October.

Martin takes over from Jacky Simmonds, who has been appointed the Group HR Director for TUI Travel PLC, TUI UK’s parent company.

Martin formerly held the position of HR Director for UK & Ireland at DHL Express where he has been for the last four years. Prior to working at DHL, he worked at Sodexo for 12 years in roles across retail, catering and facilities management arena. Martin brings a wealth of experience to TUI UK having worked in industrial relations, change management, talent management and having been a board member for several years.
