Friday 31 May 2013: Thomson Airways, the first UK airline to fly the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, today celebrated the arrival of its first 787 aircraft at Manchester Airport.

Gale-force winds and flood warnings across the nation this Christmas period urged more people across the UK to log on and book a holiday.

Thomson is using Google+ and Twitter to modernise the holiday experience for its customers. The holiday company will welcome holidaymakers pre-departure using live Google+ hangouts and invite customers to use a dedicated Twitter hashtag in-resort to communicate with their iAdvisor.

Sports Day has been and gone, the teenagers have finished signing each other’s shirts so all that let’s left to is celebrate another end to the school year and finally get some sunshine!

This weekend Thomson and First Choice will see approximately 46,000 customers depart from 18 airports across the country, as the busiest time of the year gets into gear.

Thomson Airways today, 24 April, welcomed the arrival of Boeing’s revolutionary 787 Dreamliner to Manchester Airport during the UK leg of Boeing’s Dream Tour, whilst celebrating a landmark itself - the 50^th anniversary of the airline.
